Abbey Rogers has been named MIAA Player of the Week, the Association announced on Monday.

A product of Midwest City, Okla., Rogers led the No. 6 Hillcats to a 4-2 week with her nine RBI, seven runs scored and a home run while going 12-for-19 (.632) with four multi-hit games. The senior joined the exclusive 200 career hits club, becoming just the third Hillcat in school history to reach the loft milestone, with her 5-for-6 and five RBI performance in a doubleheader sweep of No. 18 Oklahoma Christian. In RSU's doubleheader against No. 10 Central Oklahoma, Rogers accumulated two more RBI and a home run while going 5-for-6 again at the plate. She currently leads the MIAA in on base percentage (.568), ranks second in the MIAA in batting average (.500) and doubles (12) and is third in hits (51) and slugging percentage (.843).

The Hillcats return to action on Friday, March 28 as they open a six-game homestand with a doubleheader against Pittsburg State. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
