KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Rogers State men's basketball student-athletes were named All-MIAA, the league announced.
Anthony Marshall Jr. was named First Team All-MIAA. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native finished the regular season with 358 points, 110 assists, 84 rebounds, 25 steals and four blocks. The senior currently leads the team averaging 14.3 points per game and ranks fifth in the MIAA dishing out 4.4 assists per game and 10th with a 1.9 assist/turnover ratio. His season-best game came on the road at Pittsburg State when he led all scorers with 26 points and six assists.
Caden Fry and
Andrew Mason were both named All-MIAA Honorable Mention. Fry, a product of Owasso, Okla., leads the Association in total rebounds (222) and ranks third in rebounds per game, averaging 7.2 per game. He also finished the regular season with 342 points, 60 assists, 17 steals and three blocks. A native of Bardstown, Ky., Mason finished the regular season second on the team with 11.2 points per game (348 total) with 94 rebounds, 39 steals, 24 assists and a team-high 24 blocks.
The Hillcats enter the MIAA Tournament as the No. 3-seed and will face off against No. 6-seed Missouri Western on Friday, March 7 in Kansas City, Mo. at the historic Municipal Auditorium. Tipoff is set for 2:15 p.m.
