AZUSA, Calif. - Rogers State men's and women's track and field wrapped up the first day of competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday.

In the women's 5,000 meter, Cadence Cordova finished in 56th in the B section of the event with a new personal best time of 17:15.82, which shattered her previous best by 19.98 seconds. Katie Byrd finished in third in the C section of the event with a new personal best time of 17:18.43, which is a whopping 15.41 seconds faster than her previous best. Rayna Kucharyski finished in 20th with a new personal best time of 17:37.97, improving her best time by 4.02 seconds. Kaylee Nay finished in 33rd with a new personal best time of 17:51.41, a whole 19.00 seconds faster than her previous best. Emily Cruz finished in 42nd with a new personal best time of 18:00.30, which is 11.05 seconds faster than her previous best. Sisely Mitchell finished in 61st with a time of 18:20.59. Riley Coleman finished in 67th with a time of 18:33.87. 

In the men's 5,000 meter, Kyle Ginn finished in 51st with a new personal best time of 14:48.36, which is 6.98 seconds faster than his previous best time.

The Hillcats will close out the meet tomorrow as they compete in both the men's and women's 1,500 meter.
