MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. - Rogers State women's golf closed out competition at the Spring Region Preview on Tuesday.

"I am glad everyone on the team had the opportunity to play in this event," said head coach Whitney Hocutt. "This is a great course, and it is a great way to close out the regular season. As a team, we had some mistakes that cost us a lot of shots both rounds. However, I am proud of the ladies for their fight all 36 holes and not giving up. We will regroup, refocus, and get ready quickly for the MIAA Championships. Thank you Shangri-La Resort for a great event, working with McKayla and Brice was great and we look forward to hosting again next year along with Central Missouri."

After 36 holes at the par 72, 5,813 yard Shangri-La Resort, the Hillcats finished in fifth after turning in a card of 599 (+23).

Lydia Sitorus led RSU in a tie for 11th after shooting a 145 (+1) over the two rounds, including a 1-under-par 71 in the final round. Milena Andres finished in a tie for 24th with a card of 150 (+6). Lauren Anderson finished one stroke behind in a five-way tie for 26th with 151 (+7). Kristin Gudmundsdottir finished in a four-way tie for 39th with a 154 (+10). Brianna Maddux rounded out the squad in a three-way tie for 46th with a 156 (+12). 

Playing as an individual, Jessica Osden also finished in the five-way tie for 26th with a 151 (+7). Kamryn Zuniga finished in a four-way tie for 31st with a 152 (+8). Elle Standlee Daniels finished in a group of seven tied at 64th with a 160 (+16). Brooklyn Worley finished in a tie for 86th with a 166 (+22). Rylan Ashley finished in 92nd with a 169 (+25).

With the regular season now complete, the Hillcats will prepare for the MIAA Championships which begin on Sunday, April 13 in Kearney, Neb. at Meadowlark Hills Golf Club.
