RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The GAC/MIAA has announced its Week 3 Men's Soccer weekly awards, and RSU's
Louis Bassett earned Offensive Player of the Week honors and
Jaxon Kendall received Goalkeeper of the Week recognition.
Bassett earned his first career weekly honor. The native of Leicester, England, had an impressive week on the offensive side of the pitch, assisting on the game-winner against UT Tyler before notching his first goal of the season against No. 17 St. Mary's.
Kendall continued his strong start to 2025 by earning his second Goalkeeper of the Week honor. The Owasso, Oklahoma, native recorded four saves, including three against STMU, and achieved his fourth clean sheet of the season against UTT.
No. 14 Rogers State is set to begin conference play this week on the road. They will first face the Harding Bison (2-3-1) in Searcy, Arkansas, on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Stevens Soccer Complex. Later in the week, Rogers State will compete against the Ouachita Baptist Tigers (1-2-2) in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, with kickoff at Kluck Field scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
