TRACK AND FIELD PREVIEW
The Rogers State track and field team will return to Pittsburg, Kansas, this Friday for the Rumble in the Jungle D2 Invitational hosted by Pittsburg State. Running events at the Harvey Dean Track at the Robert W. Plaster Center are set to begin at 2 p.m.
DANCE PREVIEW
The RSU dance team will head to T-Town for the DTU: Dance Team Union - Regional Competition at Tulsa Union High School. The Hillcats will perform in College Hip Hop at 2:48 p.m.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PREVIEW
RSU women's basketball (6-11, 3-5 MIAA) will look to bounce back from a hard-fought week against No. 16 Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern. The Hillcats dropped both matchups but pushed both teams until the final whistle at home.
After wrapping up a four-game homestand, RSU will head to Hays, Kansas, on Thursday to take on No. 6 Fort Hays State at 5:30 p.m., before concluding the week in Kearney, Nebraska, against Nebraska-Kearney at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Thursday will mark the 10th all-time meeting between the Hillcats and Tigers, with Hays holding a 9-0 series advantage.
RSU will also face the Lopers for the 10
th time. UNK leads the series 9-0 since the first meeting in 2020.
MEN'S BASKETBALL PREVIEW
Rogers State men's basketball (11-6, 5-3 MIAA) went 2-0 last week, securing victories against Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern at the Claremore Expo Center. In the win over Pittsburg State, head coach Justin Barkley achieved his 300th career victory. Against Missouri Southern, senior Caden Fry set a new school record with 527 rebounds.
The Hillcats will head to Hays, Kansas, on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. matchup against Fort Hays State. This game marks the 12th all-time meeting between RSU and FHSU, with Fort Hays State leading the series 6-5. The clash will be a rematch of the MIAA Tournament semifinals, where the Tigers defeated the Hillcats 61-43 in Kansas City.
On Saturday, Rogers State will conclude the week by visiting Kearney, Nebraska, for a 4 p.m. contest against Nebraska-Kearney. This will be the 10th all-time meeting between the teams, with Rogers State holding a 7-2 advantage.
