BOSTON, Mass. – Rogers State women's track and field's
Cadence Cordova,
Brooklyn Garafola,
Brooke Martin and
Kaylee Nay competed at the John Thomas Terrier Classic this evening at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
Cordova kicked off the night in 3000m, finishing 92nd with a time of 10:16.71. The senior from Owasso, Oklahoma, native competed in a stacked field of NCAA Division I runners and standout club athletes. Kaylee Beyer of Minnesota Distance Elite won the race with a time of 8:59.72.
In the 5000 meters, Garafola finished with a personal best time of 17:24.68, securing 46th place. Martin placed 72nd with a personal best of 18:21.01, while Nay, in her first indoor 5K, finished 75th with a time of 18:25.17. Chloe Whiting from Bryant crusied to a first-place finish with a time of 16:05.69.
Cohen McIntosh and Nathan Hernandez will compete in the 3000m at 4:10 p.m. CT in Boston, while Cade McCall will participate in the 5000m at 6:05 p.m. CT. The remaining Hillcats will return to Pittsburg, Kansas, for the Pittsburg State Invitational, which begins with running events at 11 a.m.
