RCB Bank Sports Complex Named 2026 STADIONIC/NFCA NCAA Division II Softball Field of the Year

Honor is given to top softball complex in entire country

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has recognized the RCB Bank Sports Complex as the NCAA Division II Softball Field of the Year as part of its 2026 STADIONIC/NFCA Fields of the Year honors.

"This is a well-deserved accomplishment," said Dr. Chris Ratcliff, RSU Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. "Coach Vaughan and her staff have done an amazing job making the RCB Bank Sports Complex one of the premier softball facilities in the country. I would also like to thank the generous donors over the years and RCB Bank for their contributions. Their support of Hillcat Athletics is undoubtedly helping our department and student-athletes reach their full potential."

Rogers State was one of eight schools across eight intercollegiate divisions to receive the honor. Three programs, ETBU (2017), Jones (2021) and Washington Union (2019), are being recognized for the second time.

"This award is a testament to the hard work of Dr. Ratcliff and the generosity of all our donors," said RSU Softball Head Coach Andrea Vaughan. "We are proud to represent Rogers State on the NCAA Division II Softball national stage. We look forward to making more memories at the RCB Bank Sports Complex!"

The complex features modern amenities, including an AstroTurf infield and outfield, enhanced lighting, updated suspension netting, a turf bullpen, and spacious dugouts. Other key features include branded backstop and outfield wall padding, grandstands, a ticket booth, a paved entry plaza, and a two-story building housing indoor and outdoor seating, coaches' offices, umpire locker rooms, restrooms, concession stands, and a modern locker room with TVs, couches, and personalized lockers.

The RCB Bank Sports Complex has hosted numerous events, including high school and college invitationals. A key event in the fall season is the annual Rogers State High School Festival. The facility also served as the venue for NCAA Division II Central Region and Super Regional Championships in 2022 and 2024. In 2026, Hillcat Softball will launch the inaugural Rogers State Festival. The complex is also home to Hillcat Baseball, which hosted the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships last spring.

Additionally, the Case Athletic Performance Center was added in 2026, expanding the facility with a 10,000-square-foot indoor practice area featuring batting cages and pitching spaces for baseball and softball programs, plus a putting green and driving range for golf programs.

In July 2024, Rogers State University and RCB Bank entered into a five-year exclusive naming rights agreement, branding the school's softball and baseball facilities as the RCB Bank Sports Complex.

This recognition underscores the department's commitment to providing a premier athletic environment for both diamond sports programs, supported by ongoing enhancements and donor contributions since its opening in 2004.

This award, made possible by NFCA Official Sponsor STADIONIC, recognizes top fields/stadiums in the nation for their flawless grounds maintenance and exceptional playing surfaces. These locations are selected by the NFCA Awards Committee for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Cal JC, NWAC, and High School.

The winners were nominated by NFCA member coaches and selected by a panel of their peers on the NFCA Events Committee. They will be recognized on Dec. 12 during the NFCA Convention's annual Awards Brunch.
