INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 9 RSU Baseball has earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament with the No. 2 seed and will host the NCAA Central Regional from May 14-17 at the RCB Bank Sports Complex. Stay tuned for more information regarding times.
The Hillcats have reached the NCAA Tournament for the second time since becoming full-time members in 2017, having previously qualified in 2019 after securing the No. 6 seed by winning the Heartland Conference Tournament.
Rogers State (38-13) will face No. 7 seed Missouri Southern (33-17) in the opening game of the tournament. The Hillcats and Lions previously met from February 20-22 at the RCB Bank Sports Complex, with RSU winning the series 2-1. In the series opener, MIAA Coach of the Year
Chris Klimas became the program's winningest coach after leading the team to a 9-1 victory.
Joining them in Claremore are No. 3 seed Central Missouri and No. 6 seed Minnesota State.
The winners of both double-elimination Central Regionals will compete in the NCAA Central Region Super Regional Championship, scheduled for May 21-23. The NCAA National Championships are set to take place in Cary, North Carolina, from May 29 to June 6.
