ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Senior
Brianna Maddux is tied for first place as Rogers State Women's Golf concluded the opening round tied for the lead of the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Central Regional at St. Joseph Country Club. The opening commenced on Monday morning.
The Hillcats are tied for the lead with Henderson State of the GAC with a team tally of 309 (+21). Fellow MIAA schools, Nebraska-Kearney and Washburn, are tied for third with a score of 310 (+21).
Maddux shined in the opening round of the tournament, finishing with a score of 74 (+2). The Owasso native recorded a 38 on the front nine and finished strong with a 36 on the back, highlighted by three consecutive birdies on holes 15, 16 and 17.
Junior
Lauren Anderson continued her strong play from the MIAA Tournament, finishing the opening round tied for 10th after shooting a 76 (+4). The Tontitown, Arkansas, native collected birdies on holes six and 10.
Freshman
Lou Fourdan is tied for 24th after recording a 79 (+7), which included two birdies. Sophomore
Milena Andres sits in a tie for 36th with an 80 (+8), while freshman
Clara Ledun rounds out the lineup in a tie for 45th after posting an 81 (+9).
