KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) announced its academic awards for the 2026 baseball season on Thursday, and 10 seniors earned recognition.

The honorees include
Cole Abbott,
Andres Contreras,
Alex Dehzad,
Luis Fuentes,
Ricardo Landeros,
Jake Mitchell,
Tyler Nelson,
Andrew Ramirez,
Cannon Restine and
Dylan Weddle. Mitchell and Ramirez were named MIAA Scholar Athletes after achieving a 3.50 GPA and earning All-MIAA honors.

To be recognized on the league's Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.00 or above at the certifying institution and must have attended for at least two terms, excluding summer sessions.

These academic awards do not include first year student-athletes or first-year transfers. The MIAA will release separate academic awards for its 2025-26 newcomers at the end of June.
