KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MIAA announced its 2026-27 Women's Golf Preseason Coaches' Poll on Thursday, naming Rogers State as the favorite to win the conference with 110 points and three first-place votes. This is the first time in program history that the Hillcats have been picked to win the conference.
 
Rogers State returns Lou Fourdan, the reigning MIAA Freshman of the Year and a First Team All-MIAA selection, along with two other All-MIAA honorable mention golfers, Lauren Anderson and Milena Andres. Both Anderson and Andres finished in the top 10 at the 2026 MIAA Women's Golf Championship, with Andres securing a third-place finish and Anderson finishing ninth.
 
Washburn was selected second in the MIAA preseason poll, accumulating 106 points and receiving the most first-place votes from head coaches with four selections. Defending MIAA champion Nebraska Kearney followed in third place with 101 points and three first-place votes, while Central Missouri secured fourth with 98 points, including two first-place selections. Arkansas-Fort Smith rounded out the top five teams with 80 points.
 
The Hillcats will open the fall season at the NSU Women's Classic in Tulsa at Page Belcher GC. The 2027 MIAA Women's Golf Championship is set for April 12-14 at the Teradyne Country Club in Andover, Kansas.
