No. 16 Women’s Cross Country Matches Program-Best Ranking in USTFCCCA Poll

RSU jumped two spots after winning the Augustana Invitational

NEW ORLEANS, La. — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced its NCAA Division II Women's Cross Country Week Two National Rankings, and Rogers State moved up two spots to 16th, earning 116 points and matching the program's best ranking. The Hillcats have now been featured in the USTFCCCA poll for 18 consecutive weeks.

The rise in rankings comes after RSU's victory at the Augustana Invitational last weekend in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where the team set a school record with a top-five average time of 21:22. Amaya Grant, a native of Cushing, led the squad by finishing fifth overall in a time of 21:01.5, marking both a personal best and a new school record in the 6K.

Adams State remains in the top position with 240 points, followed by Grand Valley State (229 points), Wingate (226 points), Colorado Mines (217 points) and Western Colorado (208 points). In the MIAA, Missouri Southern surged 18 spots to ninth with 173 points, while Pittsburg State is ranked 10th with 164 points. Nebraska-Kearney is ranked 23rd with 62 points. The MIAA ranks second nationally with four teams in the poll, just behind the RMAC, which has eight representatives.

The USTFCCCA also introduced its updated XCRI Index Ratings system, placing the Hillcats at 14th nationally with a score of 809. The XCRI evaluates collegiate cross country athletes based on performance this season, adjusting each race for pace. Rankings are updated multiple times a day during race weekends using the XCRI-26A algorithm. For more information, visit USTFCCCA ::: XCRI 26A-ALL - NCAA Division II Women Team Five-26A.

Rogers State will return to competition on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the John Brown Invitational in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The men's race is set to start at 8 a.m., followed by the women's race at 8:45 a.m.
