About: Walters joins the Hillcats after a decorated prep career at Harker Heights High School where she won the All-Around Knight Award as a sprinter and jumper. The Killeen, Texas native helped set a school record in the 4x100 relay with a time of 46.25 seconds that ranked sixth in the state of Texas and 13th nationally in her junior year. Walters was a district champion in the triple jump and long jump earning team MVP honors as a junior after winning the district title as a sophomore as well. The daughter of Kirk and Patricia Walters, she said she chose RSU because "it was the least expensive."
