Biography

About: Francis saw action in 30 games, earning 15 starts, averaging seven points per game while shooting 37 percent from behind the arc as a redshirt junior in 2009-2010. He collected 42 steals and scored a season high 15 points against Houston-Tillotson. As a redshirt sophomore in 2008-09, Francis appeared in all 32 games. He averaged more than six points per game and shot 44 percent from the 3-point range. Francis scored a career-high 16 points against USAO in the SAC Tournament Championship game and was named to the all-tournament team. He also made significant contributions as a redshirt freshman in 2007-08, averaging 10 minutes of playing time per game and 3.4 points per contest. The Vinita, Okla., native was one of the first players to sign with RSU in 2006.


Barkley on Francis: “Chris knows what it takes day in and day out. We are really relying on him to take on a leadership role. He is one of the better shooters on the team who has really worked on his game in the off season. I expect this to be a big season for Chris as he finishes out his Hillcat career.”
