Biography

About: Epps is perhaps the most accomplished newcomer to the Hillcats in 2008. He was the No. 1 starter for Northern Oklahoma College – Enid in his freshman and sophomore seasons and has twice been selected in the Major League Baseball amateur draft. Epps went 8-3 with a 1.83 ERA for the Jets in 2007. Following an equally impressive freshman campaign at NOC Epps was taken by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 32nd round of the draft. The Phillies also offered Epps a contract following his senior year at Pioneer High School where he went 16-0 with an ERA under 1.00. He was the first player to be named to the all-state team in the history of Pioneer High School. Epps said he chose RSU because of the great coaching staff.
