About: Tierney is back on the Hill following an impressive freshman campaign in 2013-14 where she competed in eight tournaments earning three top-10 finishes, including two in the top five. The Waterford, Ireland native turned in the best finish for a Hillcat placing second at the UAM Fall Classic helping RSU to its only team title of the year. Her low round came in her collegiate debut at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic where she carded a 3-over-par 75, the fourth-lowest round for RSU last season. She earned Heartland Conference Academic All-Conference accolades in 2013-14 landing on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Tierney came to RSU from Yeats College shooting in the 70’s in her local club competition each of the final two years. The latter of those two scores was a 72 that, at the time, broke the women's course record. In her junior season, Tierney made the Munster team panel as they collected the Irish Interprovincial Championship for the first time in 25 years. The daughter of John and Bridget Tierney, she said she chose RSU because of "the great golf program."
