RSU DANCE TEAM – FALL AUDITIONS FOR 2025-2026 SEASON



Thank you for your interest in the RSU Dance Team.

We greatly look forward to meeting and getting to know all of our prospective athletes and future Hillcats. We have already begun the 2025-2026 season, and are looking to add a few more members to our team. We encourage you to carefully look over all of the audition requirements provided below, and also hope that you take time to research Rogers State University & the Claremore Community prior to pursuing our audition process.

Members of the Rogers State University Dance Team are held to the highest standards. 
We are looking for Dancers who:

• Support RSU Dance's vision, values, and goals

• Show a strong dedication and commitment to our team/program

• Have a consistent positive work ethic

• Are well prepared and punctual to practices/events

• Embrace a team-focused mindset 

• Are able to pick up team choreography quickly and easily adapt to changes

• Represent the program with professionalism in all settings

• Uphold excellence academically, socially, and personally

• Serve as positive role models on and off the court

FALL AUDITION TIMELINE 2025

Fall Clinic - August 25th & August 27th 

***Attendance is required to learn audition material

**Registration information under our "Clinics" 

Fall Auditions - August 29th

Check-in at 1:30 pm

Auditions begin at 2:00 pm 

 

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: 

The following requirements and documents are due at the time of audition to be considered:

1. Proof of Enrollment in Fall Semester of 2025 at Rogers State University

2. Transcript with your current GPA and cumulative GPA

3. Must register and attend RSU Dance Fall Clinic on August 25th & 27th from 6:00-8:00pm. Registration information can be found under our "Clinics"

4. Copy of Completed Physical Exam

5. Copy of Insurance Card

6. Assumption of Risk & Release Form 

 

2025 Fall Auditions will include:

1. Introduction Interview 

2. Across the Floors - Technique Demonstration (Taught during our Fall Clinic)

3. Required Skills Demonstration (Skills reviewed during our Fall Clinic)

4. Gameday Routine - Media Time Out  (Taught during our Fall Clinic)

 

Required Technique & Skills: 

• Strong Pom Motions and Proper Dance Technique

• Flexibility

• Rhythm and Musicality

• Performance and Style

• Physical Endurance and Stamina

• Choreography Memorization 

• Strong Communication Skills

Required Skills:

Toe Touch

C - Jump

Calypso 

Double Pirouette 

Leaps: Right, Left, & Center

High Kicks

Cartwheel: Right & Left 
 

Recommended Skills:

• Headspring

• Kip-up

• Tilt-Jump

• Leg Holds

• Adv. Turn Combination
