Biography

About: Alder returns to the Hill for his final season after posting the lowest scoring average for the Hillcats in 2013-14 at 76.0. The South Ogden, Utah native fired the low round of the year for RSU carding a 4-under-par 68 at the season-opening Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational. Alder's score tied for the four-best in school history while it was the fourth time a player has shot a round of 4-under-par or better. He ended the season posting three top-10 finishes, including a career-best fourth at the Texoma Championship, playing all 23 rounds in nine tournaments for the Hillcats. Alder transferred to the Hill from Eastern Arizona College where he was named a PING All-American and all-conference selection closing the year with four top-10 finishes leading to an appearance at the NJCAA National Championships. He also was on the honor roll with a 3.5 GPA while competing for the Monsters. Alder spent his freshman year at Bellevue University where he compiled five top-10 finishes and made an appearance at the NAIA Regional Championship. The son of Scott and Robynn Alder, he said he chose RSU because "I felt like this school and golf program was the next step to further my education and golf career."
