Biography

About: Howard joins the RSU track and field team after completing his career for the Hillcat men's soccer team. As a senior in 2015, Howard started 17 of 18 matches and totaled two assists after taking a redshirt in 2014. A native of Blanchardstown, Ireland, he started all 18 matches for RSU along the back line during his junior campaign in 2013. He tallied four assists on the season, all of which came in the final six matches. Howard spent his first season on the Hill in 2012 starting seven of his 11 appearances. He came to RSU after playing soccer for one season at Coffeyville Community College under Head Coach Corey Feerer. The Ravens were crowned Jayhawk Conference Champions and earned a runner-up finish in the Region VI tournament with Howard's help. He tallied three goals and added one assist on the season. He played competitively for Verona Football Club and Head Coach David Perdisa where he was named Player of the Year in 2005, 2007, 2009, and 2010 while earning Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2004 and 2006. The son of Kevin and Jenny Howard, he said he chose RSU because of "the nice campus, great facilities, and good soccer program."
