Biography

About: Penton comes back to RSU for his senior season in 2015 after making four appearances and two starts in goal during his junior campaign. The Richardson, Texas native allowed seven goals and made 12 saves on the year posting a 0-1 record in 2014. As a sophomore during the 2013 campaign, he appeared in 11 matches for the Hillcats earning seven starts where he allowed 16 goals for a 2.21 goals against average. He posted his first collegiate victory winning a 3-1 Heartland Conference decision at Oklahoma Christian. He served as the backup goalkeeper as a redshirt freshman in 2012 after coming to RSU from Richardson High School and taking a redshirt in his first season on the Hill in 2011. At RHS, he led the Eagles to a district championship under Head Coach Ryan Logan. Penton said he chose RSU because "of the great classes."
