About: Nuckols returns to the Hill as a senior in 2015 after making nine appearances and seven starts in the navy and red a season ago. He tallied his lone goal of the year against Hillsdale Free Will Baptist for two points in 2014. The Frisco, Texas native transferred to RSU before the start of the 2014 season from Western Texas College where he spent two years playing for Head Coach Shawn Uhlenhake starting every match along the back line. He served as team captain of the Westerners as a sophomore in 2013. During his freshman season in 2012, WTC reached the NJCAA National Tournament. Nuckols played his prep soccer at Heritage High School under Head Coach Adrian Puente earning first-team all-region, second-team all-state, and district MVP honors as a senior in 2011 while serving as team captain. Nuckols also was named first-team all-region and district MVP during his junior campaign. He played club soccer for the Texas Football Club and Head Coach Ed Puskarich winning the State Cup in 2011. The son of Tim and Rachelle Nuckols, he said he chose RSU because "it is a beautiful school, the programs are elite, and everything is good competition."
