About: Masterson joins the inaugural RSU track and field team after completing his career on the men's soccer team. He is a two-time All-Heartland Conference selection being named to the first team in his senior season after breaking the Hillcats' single-season assists record with eight. The Ballyboughal, Ireland tied for the team high with 22 points in 2015. He garnered All-Heartland Conference Second Team accolades during his junior campaign in 2013 leading RSU with 14 points behind a team-best six goals and two assists while starting all 18 matches. Masterson also earned All-Sooner Athletic Conference First Team honors as a sophomore in 2012, totaling three goals and four assists for 10 points. He came to RSU after spending one season at Coffeyville Community College under the direction of Head Coach Corey Feerer. The Ravens registered a 2011 Jayhawk Conference Championship and earned a runner-up finish in the Region VI tournament. Masterson received all-conference accolades after netting eight goals and adding 16 assists in 2011. The son of Niall and Elizabeth Masterson, he said he chose RSU because of "the facilities and the close-knit community that it offers."
