Biography

About: Garcia returns to the Hill for his senior season in 2015 after appearing in 16 matches a season ago getting the starting nod against Ouachita Baptist. The Waxahachie, Texas native tallied two assists as a junior in 2014, recording one against both Hillsdale Free Will Baptist and Dallas Baptist. He saw the field in 16 matches as a sophomore in 2013 scoring his lone goal of the year in the season finale at Lindenwood. Garcia earned a spot on the 2013-14 Heartland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. He spent his sophomore season in 2012 redshirting after playing in 16 games as a freshman in 2011, netting one goal and adding one assist. He joined RSU after a standout senior season at Waxahachie High School. Under Head Coach Jason Venable, Garcia scored eight goals and distributed 13 assists for the Indians. He was named first team all-district as a junior and senior, second team all-district his sophomore season, and Newcomer of the Year as a freshman. The son of Damian and Yolanda Garcia, he said he chose RSU because "it's a growing community with a very nice campus. It's also close to home, which is always nice, and very much a great place to live."
