About: KnifeChief completed a storybook four-year career at Claremore High School with a run to the state finals in 2006-07. She was named the National High School Girls Player of the Year during the Native Elite Sports Basketball Camp at Macy, NE in August 2007. A four-year starter for the Lady Zebras, KnifeChief tallied better than 15 points a game in her junior and senior seasons and contributed to state championship teams as a freshman and sophomore. She was a two-time all-state selection and News Channel Eight Player of the Week as well as a McDonald’s High School All-American nominee. KnifeChief was the valedictorian of her senior class and said she chose RSU because “I like the coaches and wanted to stay close to my
family.”
