About: Woods sat out the 2006-07 season after helping Western Nebraska Community College to a 31-1 record and a sixth place finish in the national tournament in 2005-06. She averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game and was named to the All-Region IX Tournament team. Woods missed the 2004-05 season with an ACL injury. She was the leading scorer for Gering High School as a senior as she poured in 16.6 points per game and set the school record for rebounds in a season, averaging better than 11 per contest. Woods was an all-conference and all-state selection in both basketball and volleyball for GHS as a junior and a senior.
 
Williams on Woods: “Yoda is our most experienced player in the post position and we will look to her to lead our young post unit.  She is a good athlete and has played at a high level in junior college.  She will be a key to our team’s success.”
