Assistant coach Robin Sutherland begins her first season on the sidelines after completing an incredible playing career at RSU in 2007. She led the nation in goals and was named the Sooner Athletic Conference and Region VI Player of the Year for her efforts. A native of Rogers, Ark., Sutherland transferred to Rogers State for her senior year and led the Hillcats to a 20-3 record and a conference tournament championship. Her 44 goals scored and 100 total points rank first all time in the SAC record books. Sutherland and fellow senior captain Kacie Hohenberger were the first Hillcat athletes to receive All-American recognition.
Sutherland will work primarily with the women’s program this fall while completing her degree program in psychology at the university.
