Rios exploded on the scene to start her first season for the Hillcats in 2013. She opened the year 9-0 in the circle for the Cats and posted a .424 batting average before injuring her knee in early March. Rios came to the Hill after two years at Midland Junior College. In 2012, Rios tallied a 25-8 record as a sophomore with nine saves and a 2.77 earned run average. She fanned 202 batters in 225.1 innings pitched. Offensively, she finished with a .284 batting average and 19 hits, four doubles, and six RBI. She was named all-conference, all-state, and all-region in both years with the Lady Chaps. As a freshman, she totaled a 22-4 record inside the circle with six saves and a 2.26 ERA in 180 innings. Rios attended Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, Calif.
