CLAREMORE, Okla. - Southern Nazarene banged out 16 hits en route to an 11-4 victory over Rogers State Thursday evening at the Hillcat Complex in Claremore.

The Crimson Storm kept the RSU outfielders on the run with nine extra-base hits, including eight doubles. Senior right-hander Bryan Bingham threw 136 pitches to notch the complete-game pitching victory.

SNU grabbed a 5-2 lead with four runs in the top of the second inning. Nick Spears ripped a three-run triple down the right field line with two outs to put the Storm in front. Spears doubled and scored on another double by Shain Stoner in the fourth to make it 6-2.

RSU pushed a run across in the bottom of the fourth as Luis Caraballo led off with a double and scored on a single by Kevin Redford. However, the Crimson Storm surged right back with three runs in the fifth. James Tunnell, Ryon Butts and Chase Roten swatted three straight doubles to start the frame. Roten added an RBI triple in the seventh to make it 11-3. The Cats scored a run in the bottom of the inning before Bingham shut them down for good.

Bingham (4-0) scattered nine hits across nine innings with five strikeouts. RSU starter Jacob Wenaas (1-3) lasted just 1.2 innings after being ejected from the game in the second inning. Junior Jordan Clark was called out of the bullpen in an emergency relief situation and gave the Hillcats 5.1 innings of work, allowing six runs on nine hits.

Stoner led SNU with three hits while Caraballo and Joe Manbodh tallied two apiece for the Hillcats.

Rogers State (16-13, 5-11) lost its tenth consecutive Sooner Athletic Conference game while Southern Nazarene improved to 21-9 overall. The two teams will complete the three-game series with a doubleheader Saturday afternoon in Bethany, Okla. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
