CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Rogers State softball team will compete in the eight-team Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday and Saturday at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

The teams will play for a single automatic berth to the NAIA Tournament. The two-day tournament includes Oklahoma City, Lubbock Christian, Southern Nazarene, St. Gregory's, Oklahoma Christian, USAO, Rogers State and Oklahoma Baptist.

Play begins with all eight teams in action at 11 a.m. The Hillcats will open the tournament against LCU. RSU split its regular season twin bill with the Chaps earlier in the season at Hillcat Complex. OCU opens with OBU, Oklahoma Christian plays SGU and USAO takes on Southern Nazarene.

The double-elimination continues at 3 p.m. with all eight teams playing. The six remaining teams will play again at 7:30 p.m.

The 7:30 round will narrow the field to four teams, which return to action Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. The championship game is slated for 5:30 p.m.
