Final Results

DALLAS, Texas – Senior Mica Eastin moved up the leaderboard in the final round as she shot a final round 2-under-par 70, and the Rogers State women's golf team finished in ninth at the Dallas Baptist Classic on Tuesday (Oct. 11) at the Golf Club of Dallas. The Hillcats ended with a round of 316 today to go with scores of 318 and 308 yesterday for the 54-hole team total of 942 at the 5,991-yard, par-72 course.
 
Eastin, a senior from Carrollton, Texas, rose to 11th place after starting the day in 26th. She posted a three-round score of 7-over-par 223 after rounds of 3-over-par 75 and 6-over-par 78 in the first two rounds yesterday. Starting at No. 10 today, Eastin went 2-under-par on the back nine with three birdies on the final five holes. After a bogey to start, she went 3-under-par on her next 12 holes. The senior finished with two birdies on her final three holes for the 2-under-par 70. For the 54-hole tournament, Eastin totaled 35 pars and was third in the field in par-4 scoring.
 
Kina Boone placed 34th overall and second for the Hillcats at 17-over-par 233 for her three rounds. The senior from Choctaw, Oklahoma ended with an 8-over-par 80 today in the final round. On the first day, Boone shot rounds of 7-over-par 79 and 2-over-par 74.
 
Freshman Sydney Murray posted a final round score of 11-over-par 83 on the final 18 holes today. The Wichita, Kansas native totaled a 54-hole score of 24-over-par 240 after rounds of 9-over-par 81 and 4-over-par 76 on the first day of the tournament.
 
Elizabeth McCloskey, a redshirt sophomore from McKinney, Texas, carded a score of 11-over-par 83 today in her final round. She tallied three birdies in the final round, second on the team today to Eastin, including two on par 3s. For the three rounds, McCloskey totaled a score of 247 after shooting rounds of 11-over-par 83 and 9-over-par 81 on Monday.  
 
Sophomore Stirling Phillips posted a score of 88 in her final round today for a 54-hole score of 256. She shot rounds of 88 and 80 in her first two rounds yesterday.
 
Host Dallas Baptist won the team title by 16 shots over Tarleton State. The Patriots posted a team score of 870. DBU's Ann Parmerter won the individual title with a 54-hole score of 15-under-par 201 to win by 13 strokes. She shot a second round 7-under-par 65 yesterday.
 
The Hillcats end their fall season next week at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate in Lawton, Oklahoma. The event starts on Monday (Oct. 17) at Fort Sill Golf Course.
