CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State softball team couldn't get the offense going as the Hillcats fell, 5-0, to Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday at the Diamond Sports Complex.
The visiting Bison scored four runs in the first two innings to build a 4-0 lead early in the contest. Three of those runs came in the first inning after the bases were loaded on three walks. OBU took a 1-0 edge after being hit by a pitch. An infield single doubled the margin to 2-0 and the final run of the inning scored on a fielder's choice. OBU added one run in the second inning on a fielder's choice for the 4-0 advantage early in the game.
The final Bison run came on a fielder's choice in the fifth inning for the final 5-0 score.
RSU put runners in scoring position three times with only one time coming with less than two outs.
The Hillcats totaled six hits.

Malori Moss all tallied singles on the day.
OBU's Bailee Saye pitched the full seven innings and allowed the six hits with six strikeouts to take the win.
Rach Jones started in the circle getting one out on a strikeout.
Mayra Helguera and
Jessica Christian came in relief with Christian going the final five innings.
The Hillcats (12-20) return to conference play on Thursday (March 24) at Newman for a three-game series in Wichita, Kansas. The showdown starts with a doubleheader at 4 p.m. at the Newman Softball Field.
