CLAREMORE, Okla. –
Jessica Green led the way for the Rogers State Women's Golf team as both finished in third at the Hardscrabble Invitational.
Green shot a 72 on day two, wrapping up the three-round tournament with her best round of the weekend to finish in a tie for third overall. Green had three birdies on the day to finish at +2 in the final round and +13 for the event.
The Hillcats shot their best round of the week with a 302 as a team. Rogers State shot +76 over three rounds to finish third in the nine-team tournament.
Marybeth Bellnap took second for the Hillcats in the tournament and seventh overall in the 45-golfer field. Bellnap shot a 76 in the final round, finishing with two birdies. Bellnap shot +17 for the event.
Sydney Murray also shot a 76 on Tuesday to move up to 17
th overall with a +24 for the event.
Raquel Flores finished one shot ahead of Murray for the event after shooting a 78 in the final round. Flores finished in a tie for 15
th.
Mariana Flores rounded out the scoring for the Hillcats with a 79 in the final round. She finished the tournament at +27 in a tie for 24
th overall.
The Hillcats will return to action on Sunday with the first of three rounds over three days at the Heartland Conference Championships in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. The tournament will run from April 14-16 at the Slick Rock Golf Club.
