CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State Softball and Head Coach Andrea Vaughan have announced the addition of Makayla Bowman to the signee class for the 2019-20 season.
 
Bowman will come to Rogers State after two years at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, where the infielder/utility player was a key component for the Lady Norse in 77 wins over two seasons, including a pair of trips to the NJCAA Region II Tournament.
 
As a freshman, Bowman hit .337 with 11 home runs and 61 RBIs. She also hit 13 doubles and had 11 stolen bases.
 
During her sophomore campaign, Bowman had 11 more home runs along with nine doubles and a triple, hitting .384. She also had 10 walks to finish the season with a .418 on base percentage. She was named to the All-Conference Team, as well as picking up All-Region Tournament Team honors.
 
Prior to her time at northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Bowman graduated from Collinsville High School, where she helped the Cardinals win the 2015 5A Oklahoma State Championship.
 
Bowman will major in Business Administration at Rogers State.
 
Bowman is the sixth signee for the Hillcats, joining three freshman and two junior college transfers who have already been announced earlier this year.
