Women's Basketball Announces Schedule for 2019-20 Season

CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State Women's Basketball and head coach Kyle Bent have announced the regular season schedule for 2019-20.
 
The Hillcats will have 28 regular season games this winter, as the program will begin its first season as members of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.
 
Rogers State will open up its season with a trip north to Aberdeen, South Dakota as the Hillcats take on host Northern State and Minnesota State Moorhead in the MIAA-Northern Sun Conference Challenge on November 8-9.
 
The Hillcats will then open up the home portion of the schedule with four-straight non-conference games at the Claremore Expo Center. The first contest will come on November 14 against Randall, followed by games against Oklahoma Baptist and Southwest Baptist before concluding non-conference play at the Expo on November 23 with Missouri Southern.
 
RSU will close out November with a game at Rockhurst before jumping into MIAA conference games in December.
 
Rogers State will officially begin the MIAA era at home on December 5, playing host to Central Oklahoma. The Hillcats will then host Newman on December 7 in a battle of the two former Heartland programs.
 
The Hillcats will jump back into non-conference action for two more games, hitting the road and heading to Arkansas to face Ouachita Baptist and Southern Arkansas on December 16 and 17.
 
The close of the 2019 portion of the schedule will come on December 20 when the Hillcats travel to Northeastern State for an MIAA matchup.
 
After a two-week break over the holidays and new year, the Hillcats will begin the 2020 stretch on the road with the first two of 16 more MIAA games that make up the 19-game MIAA schedule.
 
Rogers State will travel to Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri State on January 4 and 6 before returning to the Claremore Expo on January 9 and 11 against Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State.
 
The Hillcats will then make return trips to face Newman and Central Oklahoma before home contest against Central Missouri and Lincoln.
 
RSU will close out January on the road on January 29 at Pittsburg State and then face Missouri Southern in Joplin on February 1.
 
Rogers State will close out the home schedule with three-straight at the Expo against Northeastern State, Emporia State and Washburn on February 8, 13 and 15, with the last game against Washburn also serving as senior day.
 
The final three games of the regular season will be on the road, with the Hillcats traveling to Fort Hays State, Nebraska-Kearney and then Emporia State to close out the schedule on February 29.
 
The MIAA Tournament will be held from March 4-8 in Kansas City, Missouri.
