MIAA Announces Women's Soccer Schedule

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA announced the 2020 Women's Soccer Schedule Wednesday afternoon after it was approved by the by the Association's CEO Council on Monday, June 15, and the Institutional Representative Council (IRC) on Tuesday, June 9.
 
In response to the NCAA requirements in maximum and minimum allowable contests for the 2020 women's soccer season, the MIAA Scheduling Subcommittee modified the existing schedule, which will now feature only conference opponents with a pair of non-conference games at the beginning of the season.
 
Rogers State Women's Soccer will open up the year against Newman and Northeastern State in the non-conference games. Both games, which will be on the road, are originally scheduled for September 13 and September 20, respectively, but can by played on September 11 and September 18.
 
The Hillcats will then begin conference play at Central Oklahoma on September 25 before opening up the home schedule at Soldier Field on September 27 against Newman.
 
Rogers State will hit the road for four-consecutive away games, which also closes out the road schedule for 2020. The Hillcats will travel to Missouri Southern, Central Missouri, Emporia State and Washburn over the first two weeks of October.
 
Rogers State will then close the regular season with five-straight games at Soldier Field against Northwest Missouri, Missouri Western, Fort Hays State, Nebraska-Kearney and Northeastern State.
 
The MIAA Tournament will begin on November 8 with the top eight teams qualifying for the quarterfinals. Teams that finish 9-12 will play a consolation game on November 8. The MIAA Tournament Semifinals and Championship will be November 13 and 15.
