CLAREMORE, Okla. Rogers State basketball coaches Kyle Bent and Justin Barkley are taking part in the Coaches vs. Cancer, Suits And Sneakers event this week with home games against Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State.

The Coaches vs. Cancer, Suits And Sneakers Week is a nationwide event that is partnered with the American Cancer Society to unite basketball coaches across the country for a common cause of saving lives from cancer.
 
The Rogers State basketball staffs, led by Bent and Barkley, are wearing sneakers with their suits during the home games this week to raise awareness, and help to save lives by raising funds and encouraging people to educate themselves about cancer prevention, screening, and early detection.
 
Both coaches are also contributing $10 for every three pointer made by the Hillcats this week in their two games, which will support childhood cancer research, services, and awareness, as well as promote cancer prevention efforts targeting children.
