PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Rogers State men's track & field team wrapped up the 6
th Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic on Saturday with three more events and a school record at the Robert W. Plaster Center on the campus of Pittsburg State University.
On top of the school record, all four Hillcats who competed on Saturday set personal best times in their events.

Carlos Vallejo staked claim to his second school record of the season on Saturday in the 800-meter run. Vallejo broke the previous record of 2:00.13, set by
Byrun Ratliff, by over two seconds with a time of 1:58.06.
Tyler Melton had the best finish of the afternoon, recording his second third-place finish of the Gorilla Classic. The freshman set a new personal best as well in the 3,000-meter run, bettering his previous top time by over nine seconds with an 8:51.08.

Up Next: Rogers State will now set its sights on the MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in two weeks. The Hillcats will return to the site of the season opener, with Washburn hosting the championship event on February 27-28 in Topeka, Kansas.
