OWASSO, Okla. – The Rogers State men's golf team held onto third place at the Hillcat Classic, held at the Bailey Ranch Golf Club on Tuesday. Three Hillcats finished the tournament in the top ten.

i was one of three Hillcats to card a 70 in the final round as he climbed into a second-place finish overall, just one stroke of the winner, Connor Williamson of Missouri Southern. Palmowski shot 35 on the front nine and followed it up with a 35 on the back nine. The junior finished with 10 pars and five birdies on the day, including a -3 stretch over the final eight holes to climb into the runner-up position.
Ty Nicar led the Rogers State 'B' team again on day two, finishing his first collegiate tournament with a fifth-place finish in the individual standings. Nicar closed the event with a score of 70 in round three, 36 on the front nine and 34 on the back nine. The freshman recorded 12 pars and four birdies on the day.
Elliot Han Monteremal finished the tournament strong with a third-round score of 70, shooting 36 on the front nine and 34 on the back nine. Monteremal finished the tournament tied in the seventh-place position.The freshman finished the day with 10 pars and five birdies, including four straight to start the day.
Aiden Gavey rounded off the top ten for the Hillcats, where he had a three-way tie for ninth place. Gavey finished the day with a score of 76, shooting 38 on the front nine and 38 on the back nine. He recorded 14 pars.
The Men's golf team will hit the road next week for the Lion Invite on March 22-23, held in Trophy Club, Texas.
