Hillcats Women’s Basketball Announces 2021-2022 Schedule

CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State women's basketball and head coach Kyle Bent announced the 2021-2022 schedule on Tuesday.
 
"I am excited about the schedule. Overall, our team is more athletic and explosive this year. We return nine players who know what this league is about and what it is going to take to win. Incorporating our four new faces into that returning culture has already provided a noticeable difference within workouts."
 
The Hillcats will play two exhibition games against Division I opponents before the season begins in earnest. On Saturday, Oct. 30, they will travel to Norman, Okla. to face off against Oklahoma. They will then travel right down the road to Tulsa, Okla. on Wednesday, Nov. 3 for a game against Oral Roberts.
 
RSU will start the season on the road as they travel to Warrensburg, Mo. to compete in the MIAA/NSIC Conference Challenge with games against Minnesota-Moorhead (Nov. 12) and Northern State (Nov. 13).
 
The Hillcats will return to Claremore for a two-game homestand including the home opener on Thursday, Nov. 18 against Bacone College. They will also take on Southern Arkansas on Saturday, Nov. 20. RSU will travel to Bolivar, Mo. on Tuesday, Nov. 23 for a matchup against Southwest Baptist. They will then return home on Saturday, Nov. 27 to close out the non-conference portion of the schedule against Ouachita Baptist.
 
The MIAA slate beings on Thursday, Dec. 2 as the Hillcats travel to St. Joseph, Mo. to take on Missouri Western. Other trips on the schedule include Northwest Missouri State (Dec. 4), Washburn (Dec. 18), Emporia State (Dec. 20), Newman (Jan. 6), Central Oklahoma (Jan. 8), Northeastern State (Jan. 15), Missouri Southern (Jan. 26), Pittsburg State (Jan. 29), Fort Hays State (Feb. 10) and Nebraska-Kearney (Feb. 12).
 
The home conference campaign includes games against Pittsburg State (Dec. 8), Missouri Southern (Dec. 11), Nebraska-Kearney (Jan. 1), Fort Hays State (Jan. 3), Lincoln (Jan. 20), Central Missouri (Jan. 22), Washburn (Feb. 3), Emporia State (Feb. 5), Central Oklahoma (Feb. 16), Newman (Feb. 19) and Northeastern State (Feb. 26).
 
The MIAA Tournament is scheduled for March 2-6 in Kansas City, Mo.
