EDMOND, Okla. – Rogers State men's basketball (10-6. 4-6 MIAA) fell 88-68 against Central Oklahoma (13-2, 8-1 MIAA) on Saturday.

Three Hillcats finished in double figures on the day. Brewster Peacock led RSU with a season-high 20 points to go with four rebounds and two assists. Devin Pullum put up 16 points with three assists, two steals and a rebound. Preston Lawrence contributed 12 points with two rebounds and an assist. Both Tylan Dean and Gerren Jackson cleaned up a team-high five rebounds.

The first half was an incredibly tight affair with 6 lead changes and four ties. Neither team was able to get more that a five-point advantage during the period. Both teams were trading points out of the gate, but the Hillcats came out on top as they held a 10-6 lead four minutes into the game. After more back and forth through much of the half, RSU managed to push out to its largest lead at 30-25 with 3:58 left in the period. However, with the Hillcats up 32-29 with 2:15 remaining, UCO ripped off an 8-0 run to close out the half with 37-32 advantage.

The Bronchos control the second half as they outscored RSU 51-36 in the final period. They opened the half on an 11-4 run to push out to their first double digit lead of the game at 48-36. They continued to build up this lead, and even though the Hillcats tried to battle back down the stretch, they could never get the deficit under 10 points. UCO eventually took the win 88-68.

RSU will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 15 as they close out the three-game road trip in Tahlequah, Okla. for a matchup against Northeastern State. Tipoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
