CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State men's basketball (2-1) handled their business in an 85-71 victory against Drury (2-1) in a mid-week, non-conference matchup inside the Expo Center on Wednesday.

With nine points on the night,
Sherwyn Devonish-Prince Jr. reached rarified air by joining the 1,000-career points club with 1,005 points in his career. He also dished out a team-high six assists with four rebounds and a steal in the game.

Three Hillcats finished in double figures in the win.
Kofi Hamilton led all scorers and finished just one rebound shy of a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds to go with an assist.
Chris Whitaker put up 16 points with six rebounds, five assists and a steal.
Ugo Obineke knocked down 11 points with three rebounds, a block and a steal.

RSU led for most of the game, but the opening minutes of the first half were close with the Hillcats holding a slim margin midway through the period. They began to pull away in the final four minutes as they went on a 9-4 run to go up 40-29. The Panthers managed to cut into that lead and sent the game into the break with RSU up 42-35.

The second half was all Hillcats as they led by double digits for the majority of the final 20 minutes. Up 52-34, RSU ripped off a 20-4 run to take their largest lead of the game at 72-47 with just under seven minutes left. Drury managed to trim the deficit to 12 points at 81-69 down the stretch, but that would be as close as they would get. Rogers State went on to take the 85-71 win.

The Hillcats will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 19 as they go on the road for the first time this season with a trip to Lawton, Okla. to face off against Cameron. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m.
