Hillcats Finish No. 28 In Final USTFCCCA National Rankings

NEW ORLEANS – Rogers State women's cross country finished No. 28 in the final US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Rankings of the season, the organization announced on Wednesday.
 
Up one spot from No. 29 is last week's poll, the Hillcats finished the 2022 season ranked No. 28. They remained the only school from Oklahoma ranked nationally. RSU finished as one of four MIAA schools featured in the rankings behind Pittsburg State (No. 13), Nebraska-Kearney (No. 19) and Northwest Missouri (No. 24). They also stayed one of eight Central Region teams in the rankings, behind Augustana (No. 5), Minnesota State (No. 15), Winona State (No. 21) and Minnesota Duluth (No. 22).
 
The Hillcats finished the season with a eighth place finish at the NCAA Central Region Championships, a program-best finish, with Katie Byrd earning All-Region honors and setting a new school record in the 6k race.
