Declan Viljoen has been named the GAC/MIAA Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

The Auckland, New Zealand native guided the Hillcats to two draws last week against Southern Nazarene and No. 14 Northeastern State. In the 1-1 tie against SNU on Thursday, Viljoen collected nine saves on 14 shots. Against NSU on the road, the sophomore made eight saves on 24 shots, with the only goal coming on a penalty kick.

Viljoen currently ranks second in the GAC/MIAA with a .824 save percentage and 6.22 saves per game.

The Hillcats return to action on Thursday, Sept. 29 as they travel to Searcy, Ark. to face off against Harding. Kickoff is set from 7 p.m.
