LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Rogers State softball checked in at No. 2 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Coaches Poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Receiving two first place votes, the Hillcats still rank ahead of two other MIAA schools including No. 6 Central Oklahoma and No. 19 Washburn. Two other Central Region teams were featured in the poll, including No. 13 Harding and No. 16 Southern Arkansas.
The Hillcats went 3-1 last week splitting a mid-week doubleheader at home with Arkansas Tech and then sweeping rival Northeastern State in the MIAA opening doubleheader on the road on Friday.
The Hillcats will return to the Diamond Sports Complex on Tuesday, March 21 as they step out of league play for a mid-week doubleheader against Southwestern Oklahoma State. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
