CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State softball's
Sara Llamas-Howell and
Callie Yellin have been named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Region team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

A product of Pawnee, Okla., Llamas-Howell was named First Team All-Region after finishing the regular season with 1.08 ERA, the lowest in the MIAA. The junior was responsible for 21 of the Hillcats 41 wins during the regular season with opposing hitters batting a league-low .191 against her. In 142.2 innings pitched, she struck out 106 batters (33 looking) and allowed the fewest earned runs of any starting pitcher in the MIAA. She was also named NFCA First Team All-Region as well as MIAA Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-MIAA.

Yellin joined Llamas-Howell on the First Team after leading the Hillcats with a .367 batting average during the regular season with 40 hits in 109 at-bats as well as 31 RBI and 17 extra base hits, including a team-high eight home runs. The Farmersville, Texas native ranked seventh in the MIAA with a 1.119 OPS and eighth with a .679 slugging percentage. She was also named NFCA First Team All-Region and First Team All-MIAA.

Because both Llamas-Howell and Yellin were named to the First Team, they both advance to the D2CCA All-America ballot. The D2CCA All-America teams will be announced on Wednesday, May 24.
