KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rogers State men's soccer climbed to No. 13 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.

RSU remains the highest ranked GAC/MIAA team in the poll ahead of No. 23 Northeastern State and Southern Nazarene, who received votes.

Last week, the Hillcats went 1-0-1 in their first road trip on the season with a 2-2 draw against No. 7 Midwestern State and a 2-1 win over rival Oklahoma Christian. Against the Mustangs,
Erik Hjertsson gave the Hillcats a 1-0 lead in the 41st minute. After MSU equalized in the 43rd minute,
George Robinson put RSU back in front with a goal off a pass from
Alex Fletcher before the Mustangs sent the game to a draw with a late goal in the 82nd minute.

In the win over the Eagles on Saturday, things got off to a hot start as GAC/MIAA Defender of the Week
Matthew Sweetman put the Hillcats up 1-0 just 24 seconds into the match off a pass from
Hugo Martin, but OC tied things up less than a minute later.
Marcos Vasallo secured the 2-1 win for RSU in the 85th minute after finding the back of the net off a pass from
Grant King.

RSU wraps up the non-conference schedule with two Top 15 matchups as they travel to face off against No. 4 CSU Pueblo and No. 14 UC Colorado Springs on Thursday, Sept. 14 and Saturday Sept. 16, respectively. Kickoff on Thursday is set for 8 p.m. Central Time with the kickoff on Saturday set for 2 p.m.
