CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State Head Baseball Coach
Chris Klimas announced the addition of Cam Margaris to round out his coaching staff for the 2024 season. With a decade of coaching experience, Margaris will serve as the Hillcats' pitching coach.

"After visiting with several extremely qualified candidates, we really felt like Coach Margaris was an outstanding fit for both our pitching staff and our baseball program," said Klimas. "We are very excited to be able to bring him to Claremore, and we look forward to the positive impact he will have on our program."

Margaris arrives on the Hill after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant at Northern Oklahoma College-Enid in Enid, Okla. In addition to his responsibilities as an assistant, he also served as Interim Head Coach in the final three weeks of the 2023 season. With the Jets, Margaris was responsible for all recruiting efforts, team academics, planning team travel and helping plan practices. During his time with NOC-Enid, he helped coach NJCAA Division II All-American Ambren Voitik and helped guided the Jets to back-to-back top 3 finishes in NJCAA Region 2. In 2021, the Jets broke the school record with with 98 home runs, finishing second in NJCAA Division II that season, and led the nation in extra-base hits. Margaris coached 33 players who went on to transfer to four-year schools.

Prior to his time in Enid, Margaris spent one season as an assistant at NAIA Campbellsville University. With the Tigers, he served as the co-recruiting coordinator and worked primarily with hitters and outfielders. Margaris helped guide Campbellsville to the 2019 Mid-South Conference Championship.

Margaris began his collegiate coaching career at Centralia College. In his four seasons, he served as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator, working primarily with pitchers and oversaw the team's strength and conditioning efforts. While there, Margaris helped guided the program to its first playoff appearance in 12 years.

He also spent several years coaching in the West Coast League, a collegiate summer league, as well as at the high school level.

As a player, Margaris was a right-handed pitcher and centerfielder for Centralia College and went on to play one season of independent professional baseball in the Texas Winter League. He led his team to a second place finish and led the league in ERA, saves and strikes per innings pitched.
