PITTBURG, Kan. – Rogers State men's and women's track and field opened the indoor season with the first day of competition at the Crimson and Gold Invitational on Friday.

In the women's 5,000 meter,
Jordan Wallace led RSU with a third place finish and posted a new personal best with a time of 17:15.62 as a freshman.
Ashley Riggenbach finished in eighth with a new personal best and finished with a time of 17:27.52, a whopping 31 seconds faster than her previous best indoor time.
Faith Tinney finished in 31st with a new personal best time of 18:53.17, an outstanding 38 seconds faster than her previous best time.

In the men's 5,000 meter,
Kyle Ginn led the way with a 15th place finish and a new personal best time of 15:10.08, which was 11 seconds faster than his previous best indoor time.
Cade McCall finished 19th with a new personal indoor best time of 15:24.27, surpassing his previous indoor best by 2.7 seconds.
Blake Feron finished 23rd with a time of 15:31.64.
Jonathan Mendez finished in 31st with a time of 15:53.37.

The Hillcats will wrap up the meet tomorrow with nine more events beginning with the women's mile at 1:50 p.m.
