BOLIVAR, Mo. – Rogers State women's golf wrapped up competition on a chilly first day of the tournament at the Midwest Intercollegiate Invite on Monday.
 
After 18 holes at the par 72, 5,989 yard Silo Ridge Country Club, the Hillcats sit in second place with a card of 311 (+23), just four strokes behind the leader.
 
Marelda Ayal leads RSU in second place after shooting 74 (+2), just one stroke behind the leader. Lydia Sitorus sits right behind in a tie for third with a card of 75 (+3). Brianna Maddux and Kamryn Zuniga both sit in a group of seven tied at 17th with an 81 (+9). Lauren Anderson rounds out the squad in a group of six tied at 36th with an 85 (+13).
 
Playing as individuals, Kristin Gudmundsdottir sits in a three-way tie for eighth with a 78 (+6) while Jessica Osden also sits in the group of six tied at 36th with an 85 (+13). Rylan Ashley is in a three-way tie for 66th with a 92 (+20).
 
The Hillcats will close out the tournament with the final round tomorrow. A shotgun start is set for 12 p.m.
